The event “Marks the inauguration of the Valentim de Barros Studio Room in the Jardins do Bombarda […] The name of this new room, formerly the Shed of the Miguel Bombarda Psychiatric Hospital, and the tribute program are not merely a homage to the former dancer Valentim de Barros. Rather, they are a symbolic act of permanent struggle for freedom and diversity. A crossroads between dissent and memory. The inauguration of this cultural space, open to the city of Lisbon, is a way of immortalizing Valentim’s legacy.”
